  • Garlic flavor: intense when raw and gets milder into an earthy garlic flavor when roasted and sautéed
  • Pehoski purple has acclimated well to zone 3-4 and produces 3”+ garlic from the 5-7 large cloves per bulb.

  • This garlic is grown and braided by the famous garlic guy, Lon Gunderson, well known at Madison’s Farmer’s Market which is one of the oldest and largest farmer's markets in the nation. Lon grows his garlic naturally using organic rock based fertilizers power driven by his horses.

Approx. 35-56 cloves per lb. or 12-16 linear feet at 6” spacing

This garlic is naturally grown using natural and organic growing methods pertaining to seed, soil, fertilizers, and the soil nor crop has not been sprayed with synthetic herbicides, pesticides, or fertilizers, but this garlic has not been though the organic certification process. If you require USDA Certified Organic garlic, check to see if we have this garlic available as certified organic.
