Very Rare Garlic variety - a true heirloom.  This rocambole garlic variety was gathered from a creek bank on an old Spanish homestead in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of New Mexico in 2005. The postmistress of the small village explained that this garlic had been growing wild there since her grandfather was a boy.  Hot & spicy garlic with bold red coloring on internal and external skins with heads up to 3 inches across. Loves cold winters, and matures late, but watch to harvest early because all rocamboles are more prone to rotting on the bottom.  They usually store until late November.

Note: Garlic is an agricultural crop that is subject to crop loss due to conditions beyond our control. This can even occur in the curing stage. We still want to get you some great garlic, so please choose how you would like us to proceed with your order if the item you ordered is not available due to a crop loss. We do set aside some great garlic in case we do have to substitute garlic!
